William Jewell College is seeking a Director of Financial Aid to oversee the Office of Student Financial Services, ensuring compliance with Title IV and state regulations while guiding staff in awarding and delivering financial aid to students and prospective students.

The role involves education and counseling families, managing audits, and collaborating with the Business Office on accounts receivable and aid distributions, all in a deadline-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with a minimum of three years of supervisory experience and five years of financial aid experience in higher education required.
• Master's degree and five years of financial aid supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Title IV Compliance officer for both graduate and undergraduate programs and ensure alignment with federal/state regulations.
• Reconcile student accounts and financial aid allocations, and coordinate with the Business Office on draws and receipts.
• Coordinate customer service initiatives to improve student satisfaction, retention, and graduation rates, and distribute aid offers timely.
• Develop, coordinate, and supervise counseling for prospective students and recruitment programs for disadvantaged populations.
• Manage endowed scholarship stewardship, donor funding, and scholarship assignments for Missouri Colleges Fund.
• Provide guidance on financial aid leveraging and scholarship strategies for enrollment management and budget projections.
• Hire staff, set performance expectations, supervise, train, and support professional development.
• Upgrade and maintain software for financial aid and business management with IT staff.
