Job summary

The University of Olivet seeks a Director of Financial Aid to provide visionary leadership for the financial aid team and to drive a student‑centered financial aid process. The successful candidate will oversee counseling, needs analysis, eligibility, and awarding while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with three (3) years of experience in financial aid or related field.
• Master's degree preferred with three (3) to five (5) years of financial aid experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop the vision, mission, guiding principles and strategic plan for Financial Aid in alignment with the university's plan.
• Lead and train staff in financial aid counseling and needs analysis.
• Oversee eligibility determination, awarding of aid, and compliance with federal/state regulations.
• Manage staff across programs and oversee scholarship distributions and reporting.
• Counsel students and families on financial aid eligibility, budgeting, and planning.
