Job summary

Solomon Page is recruiting a Director of Finance in Dallas (with potential for New York) to own the annual budgeting process and rebuild the enterprise financial model. This leadership role strengthens forecasting discipline, drives cost and revenue planning, and partners with executives to deliver decision-ready financial outputs.

The position requires 8+ years in FP&A or related finance roles, advanced modeling, and proven people management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field.
• 8+ years in FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, or similar.
• At least 2 years owning annual budgeting/forecasting end-to-end.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling, three-statement models.
• Translate revenue/margin targets into detailed plans.
• Understand FP&F methodologies, drivers, and modeling best practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for senior execs.
• People management experience or readiness to lead direct reports.
• Experience with NetSuite and BI/analytics platforms.
• Experience in high-growth or PE-backed environments is a plus.
• Experience leveraging AI tools to improve workflows is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own long-range planning and annual budgeting from kickoff to Board presentation.
• Translate top-down targets into detailed budgets and staffing plans.
• Redesign and rebuild enterprise forecasting model focusing on revenue forecasting.
• Build scalable financial model with durable, decision-ready outputs.
• Establish standardized forecasting methodologies across Finance & Strategy.
• Improve forecasting accuracy with repeatable, independent frameworks.
• Manage and develop a small finance team and maintain model accuracy between cycles.
• Present budget recommendations and methodologies to CFO and executives.
• Identify opportunities to improve planning, reporting, modeling, and workflows via tech and AI.
