Job summary

The Director of Finance role in San Antonio leads the financial operations for a luxury lodging property. You will supervise accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash flow, and internal controls while partnering with ownership and external advisors.

This hands-on leadership position requires deep hotel finance experience and a solid understanding of USALI, with a focus on profitability and strategic decision support.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance hotel experience.
• Strong knowledge of hotel financial systems and reporting.
• Thorough understanding of USALI (Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry).
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and property-level financial management.
• Proven ability to manage month-end close and financial reporting processes.
• Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting functions and financial reporting in GAAP manner.
• Lead annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting processes.
• Monitor cash flow and working capital; support capital project funding needs.
• Establish and maintain internal controls and accounting procedures; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Mentor and develop the finance team; drive performance and succession planning.
