Job description

The Opportunity

Ulteig is seeking a growth-oriented Director of Finance and Treasurer to provide strategic leadership and act as a proactive business partner to the CFO and executive team. This role involves overseeing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and acting as the Corporate Treasurer, managing functions such as ESOP, 401k, debt, cash management, and payroll.

The Director of Finance and Treasurer will be a key member of the CFO leadership team, driving business transformation and fostering a culture of financial awareness and data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Based in Twin Cities, Fargo, or Denver, this position requires limited travel and emphasizes leadership development and strategic thinking aligned with Ulteig’s growth culture.

What You'll Do

Finance

• Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
• Partner with senior leaders on budgets and financial plans.
• Conduct scenario analysis and develop contingency plans.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to leadership.
• Oversee financial reporting for management and the Board.
• Develop KPIs and support strategic initiatives like M&A and ESOP valuation.
• Implement process improvements and leverage technology for financial operations.
• Manage and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative culture.

Treasury

• Manage fiduciary responsibilities related to ESOP, 401(k), and investments.
• Develop strategies for capital structure and oversee banking relationships.
• Maintain cash flow projections and manage cash and investments.
• Oversee payroll and related functions.

What We Expect from You

• 15+ years of progressive finance experience, including corporate finance, treasury, or financial analysis roles.
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, including proficiency in PowerPoint.
• Proven leadership in building high-performing teams and strategic business partnering.
• Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and Power BI.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Authorization to work permanently in the U.S.
