Job summary

Korn Ferry in Minneapolis is seeking a Director of Finance & Accounting to lead our finance team and act as a strategic partner to the CEO and senior leaders. This role blends hands-on execution with executive-level strategy to elevate financial insight and drive decision making across the organization.

The ideal candidate will own forecasting, budgeting and financial modeling while delivering enhanced board reporting and leading finance system upgrades.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience with 2+ years in management.
• Strong FP&A and forecasting experience with budgeting responsibilities.
• Proven ability to develop and mentor a finance team.
• Experience with recurring payment structures, pricing, and compensation is highly preferred.
• Ability to influence across functions and partner with non-finance leaders.
• Experience navigating growth and change in dynamic organizations.

• Evaluate cost/benefit scenarios and strategic investments from a finance perspective.
• Assist with ongoing systems modernization and reporting enhancements.
• Collaborate closely with Executive leadership on strategic growth initiative.
• Identify and implement process improvements.

Korn Ferry is excited to partner on a Director of Finance & Accounting opportunity with a well-established, growing organization in the Minneapolis area.

This is a highly visible, strategic role reporting directly to the CEO with leadership of the Accounting and Finance team. You’ll partner across operations and leadership as a true business partner to elevate financial insight and drive better decision‑making across the business. Leadership is focused on identifying a strong leader that can develop their team and build strong relationships across departments.

Must be local to the area! Our client strongly believes in flexibility and offering a hybrid work environment, however, that will depend week to week depending on needs of the role and traveling. They want the Director of Finance & Accounting to be physically present and integrate onsite with leadership teams.

• Travel ~25% required

Our client offers a very strong Compensation Package that includes:

• Target Base of $150K to $200K Base (depending on experience)
• Bonus Potential (consistently paid out due to strong company performance)

• 10+ years of progressive finance & accounting experience with 2+ years of management experience
• Strong FP&A and strategic finance background with experience leading budgeting and forecasting processes
• Leader with proven history of developing their team
• Prior experience with a recurring payment structure, pricing, compensation structures - Highly Preferred
• Strong leadership presence, ability to influence cross‑functionally, and partner with non‑finance leaders
• Experience navigating organizational change and growth environments
