Departmental Overview

The Department of Ethnic Studies focuses on the interdisciplinary study of race, ethnicity, and indigeneity, emphasizing the experiences of people of color. It offers undergraduate majors and minors, as well as a Ph.D. program, and is part of the AGES Cluster supporting multiple departments.

Responsibilities
  • Fiscal Analysis and Budget Management: Develop and analyze budgets, create financial reports, reconcile funds, and oversee department financial transactions.
  • Budget Forecasting: Forecast future revenues and expenses, assist in budget planning and proposals.
  • Financial Control: Implement budget allocations, maintain financial controls, and ensure compliance.
  • Fund Management for Special Projects: Manage specific funding sources, oversee staffing budgets, and coordinate with campus units.
  • Business Process Management: Optimize financial workflows, document procedures, and provide training.
Required Qualifications
  • Knowledge of finance policies, experience with financial systems, strong organization and communication skills, ability to analyze financial data, and a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in finance or related field, CPA, or similar credentials.
Salary & Benefits

The expected salary range is $80,000 - $106,800. This is a full-time, exempt position with benefits, eligible for remote work up to 25%.
