Job summary

AxessPointe Community Health Centers seeks an experienced Finance Manager to operate and manage the agency’s fiscal information and management information systems. You will report to the Executive Director and lead a team to ensure accurate accounting across payables, receivables, and the general ledger.

This role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, 4+ years of experience, and the ability to oversee budgets, grants, and financial reporting while complying with all applicable regulations.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Minimum of four years accounting/finance experience.
• Must be bondable and hold an Ohio driver's license.
• Must pass criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Accurately maintain the agency’s accounting system, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger per GAAP.
• Prepare and submit reports to taxing authorities, funding bodies, and related organizations.
• Communicate financial information to Board of Directors and funding agencies.
• Develop and prepare financial analyses as needed.
• Prepare Agency budgets and assist with grant/funding budgets.
• Assist with management of the agency’s management information system.
• Review purchases for cost-saving opportunities and supervise accounting staff.
• Comply with policies, COA regulations, HRSA regulations, and legal requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

SUMMARY

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Accurately maintain the agency’s accounting system, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger as outlined in the agency’s accounting procedures manual in accordance with generally accepted accounting practices.
• Prepare and submit reports to taxing authorities, funding bodies, and other appropriate organizations as required.
• Responsible for communicating financial information of the agency to the Board of Directors, funding agencies, etc.
• Responsible for developing and preparing financial analysis as deemed necessary.
• Responsible for preparation of Agency budget.
• Assist in preparation of grant and other funding source budgets.
• Assist with management of the agencies management information system.
• Review agency purchases and when possible seek out cost saving opportunities for the agency and related programs.
• Supervise accounting staff and their duties as assigned.
• Comply with agency policies and procedures, COA regulations, HRSA regulations, federal and state requirements, and educational/certification/registry requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree – Accounting
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to perform work required with minimal supervision.
• Experience in use of personal computers, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience
• Must be bondable.
• Valid Ohio Driver’s License and ability to meet agency requirements for driving insurability.
• Must be able to meet agency requirements for criminal back ground check (Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification & Investigation).

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED

• Unrestricted State of Ohio driver’s license
