Job summary

LHH seeks a Director of Finance to partner with executive leadership and drive financial performance across the organization. This hands-on leader will head FP&A, reporting, and operational finance while enabling growth initiatives and long-term objectives.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of progressive finance experience; CPA/CMA/CFA/MBA preferred. They will oversee close processes, internal controls, KPI development, and team mentorship in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
  • Proven success leading budgeting, forecasting, FP&A, and financial reporting functions.
  • Strong understanding of financial modeling, performance metrics, cash flow management, and business analytics.
  • Experience presenting financial results to executive leadership and boards.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence business decisions through financial insight.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute financial strategies with the CEO/CFO and leadership team.
  • Lead long-range planning, budgets, forecasts, and scenario analysis.
  • Deliver actionable insights to improve EBITDA, cash flow, and performance.
  • Support PE sponsors' reporting and due diligence activities.
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes; strengthen controls.

Job description

We are seeking a highly accomplished and results-driven Director of Finance to serve as a strategic business partner to executive leadership and drive financial performance across the organization. This individual will lead all aspects of financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and operational finance while supporting growth initiatives, value creation strategies, and long-term business objectives.

The ideal candidate is a high-performing finance leader with 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience. This role requires a hands-on leader who can operate strategically while remaining deeply involved in financial operations, performance analysis, and business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
  • Partner with the CEO, CFO, and executive leadership team to develop and execute financial strategies that support business growth and profitability.
  • Drive long-range financial planning, annual budgets, forecasts, and scenario analysis.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve EBITDA, cash flow, and overall business performance.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on strategic initiatives, investments, acquisitions, and operational improvements.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and performance reporting activities.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to support decision-making and value creation.
  • Analyze business trends, operational performance, and financial results to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Deliver executive-level reporting packages and board presentations.
Private Equity Partnership
  • Support the financial reporting requirements of private equity sponsors and lenders.
  • Provide accurate, timely, and meaningful reporting to investors and stakeholders.
  • Drive initiatives focused on enterprise value creation, working capital management, and operational efficiency.
  • Participate in due diligence, acquisitions, integrations, and exit-readiness activities.
Financial Operations & Controls
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial statements and reporting.
  • Strengthen internal controls, compliance procedures, and financial governance.
  • Manage cash flow, liquidity planning, and banking relationships.
  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance and accounting team.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and business partnership.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top finance talent.
  • Drive process improvements and leverage technology to improve reporting and efficiency.
Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
  • Proven success leading budgeting, forecasting, FP&A, and financial reporting functions.
  • Strong understanding of financial modeling, performance metrics, cash flow management, and business analytics.
  • Experience presenting financial results and recommendations to executive leadership and boards.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence business decisions through financial insight.
Preferred
  • CPA, CMA, CFA, or MBA.
  • Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, integrations, or capital transactions.
  • Experience operating in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
