Job summary

Counded in Madison, Wisconsin, CFS seeks a Director of Finance to drive strategy, partner with the Board, and shape the future of the firm. This high-visibility finance leadership role offers executive exposure, meaningful impact, and exceptional work/life balance.

The position reports to executive leadership, leads the Accounting & Finance function, and oversees budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for the Board. CPA preferred; 10+ years of experience required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Experience creating and managing budgets, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Prior experience presenting recommendations to executive leadership, ownership groups, or Boards.
• CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Accounting & Finance functions, including month-end and year-end close processes.
• Drive strategic initiatives and oversee major system implementations and process improvements.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for executive leadership and the Board of Directors.
• Evaluate and improve financial, accounting, billing, and accounts receivable processes.
• Develop, mentor, and lead the finance team.
• Provide financial recommendations and insights to leadership and the Board.
