Job description

Take a leadership role in shaping the financial future of one of New England’s fastest-growing independent wealth management firms.

Moneco Advisors is a modern, full-service financial planning firm dedicated to helping clients live their best financial lives. We combine a collaborative, people-first culture with sophisticated planning capabilities and a relentless focus on growth — and we’re looking for a financial leader who wants to help build something, not just manage it.

The Director of Finance is a full-time, salaried senior leadership role with competitive benefits and performance-based bonus potential. Reporting to the COO, this position serves as the firm’s senior financial strategist — owning capital planning, financial performance, and the integrity of our accounting and reporting functions. The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking financial leader who is as comfortable in a strategic conversation as they are reviewing a balance sheet.

What You’ll Do

You’ll serve as a key partner to firm leadership, driving financial strategy while overseeing the accounting and reporting infrastructure that supports a rapidly growing enterprise. Your work will span four key areas:

Strategic Finance & Capital Planning
  • Partner with the COO and Executive Committee on budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning.
  • Evaluate capital allocation decisions, including investments in people, technology, and M&A activity.
  • Develop and maintain financial models that inform strategic decisions across the firm.
  • Own the firm’s financial reporting cadence, delivering timely, accurate, and actionable insights to leadership.
  • Establish KPIs and dashboards that give leadership a clear view of firm health and growth trajectory.
  • Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and profitability across the firm’s business units.
Accounting Oversight
  • Provide leadership and oversight to the firm’s bookkeeping and accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage relationships with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors.
  • Ensure the firm’s financial controls, policies, and procedures are current and scalable.
M&A & Growth Support
  • Support financial due diligence and integration work related to the firm’s active acquisition program.
  • Assist in structuring and evaluating deal economics, earnouts, and equity arrangements.
  • Serve as a financial resource for incoming teams and advisor integrations.
What We’re Looking For
  • 8–12 years of progressive finance or accounting experience, with demonstrated leadership responsibilities.
  • Experience in financial services, wealth management, or a similarly complex professional services environment strongly preferred.
  • A strategic thinker who can translate financial data into clear recommendations for business leaders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills — equally effective in a boardroom and a one-on-one.
  • Comfortable operating in a high-growth, fast-moving environment where priorities can shift.
  • Based in or willing to work regularly from one of Moneco’s offices, with regular presence in Fairfield, CT.
Why Join Moneco Advisors?

This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior financial leadership role at a firm with real momentum. Moneco has completed 12+ acquisitions since 2020 and continues to grow — which means the Director of Finance will have a front-row seat to complex, meaningful work from day one. If you’re looking for a role where your strategic thinking shapes real outcomes, we’d love to hear from you.
