Spring Lake Village - a Senior Living Community

Summary:

The Director of Facilities Services is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, general supervision, budgeting, and managing the housekeeping, janitorial, laundry, maintenance, security, and grounds functions within a multi-care level community, which includes residential, commercial, and a skilled nursing facility. It is also responsible for compliance with Life Safety Codes and Federal, State, and Local regulations governing these facilities.

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinates, updates, processes, oversees preventive maintenance needs, and attends to repairs and building improvements. Manages contracts with outside vendors and workers and maintains records of all contracts, work orders, and budgets.
  • Functions as Fire Life Safety Director, responsible for assigning, training, and educating staff and residents in Facility Emergency Plan, including conducting periodic fire drills.
  • Maintains Life Safety Systems as required by code and regulations, including arranging for periodic testing.
  • Coordinates and oversees new and renovation projects from initial review and selection of bid proposals and contract services through completion. Ensures quality of work performed and adherence to established project specifications.
  • Manages the waste management and recycling programs, inventory of parts and supplies, internet and TV hookups, and maintenance of phone system, Access Control, etc., for the Community
  • Provides oversight of the Landscaping Department, fosters the aesthetics, and maintains clean and safe grounds of the Community.
  • Oversees departmental budget performance, foresees discrepancies, and tightly adheres to record-keeping policies and procedures. Provides required reports as required.
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Essential:
