Job summary

Moove is seeking a Director of Facilities Management & Security to lead full-scope facilities and security operations across multiple locations. You will manage vendors, budgets, and emergency responses while maintaining site readiness in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a strong background in facilities leadership, security, and vendor outsourcing, with the ability to travel up to 25% and oversee capabilities nationwide and overseas.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Facilities Management, Business Management, Engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years in facilities roles with director-level leadership and outsourcing strategy responsibilities.
• Experience with industrial/automotive real estate and EV charging is a plus.
• Strong judgment to identify hazards, violations, and risks.
• PM skills to drive projects with undefined scope and align stakeholders.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for broad audiences.
• Understanding of change management, leadership, and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a vendor strategy for facility operations services including security, building management, events, and waste disposal.
• Oversee a ticketing system to respond to maintenance needs for 24/5, 365 operations.
• Design and implement a cost-effective security strategy for access control, surveillance, and staffing.
• Ensure OSHA readiness, EHS adherence, and site security.
• Oversee EV charger O&M vendors to meet or exceed 98% uptime.
• Manage vendors across multiple locations nationwide and overseas.
• Own and oversee local facilities budgets, P&L, and capex planning.
• Lead facility improvement construction, commissioning, and retrofitting projects.
• Respond to daily maintenance issues and major system failures.
• Serve as primary escalation point for facility or security issues.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and implement a vendor strategy for facility operations services: security, building management, food and beverage, events, and waste disposal
• Oversee a ticketing system to respond to capture and track maintenance needs for a 24/5, 365 operations
• Design and create a cost effective, comprehensive security strategy that encompasses access control, surveillance, and physical staffing
• Ensure safety and compliance: OSHA readiness, EHS adherence, and site security
• Oversee EV charger O&M vendors to meet or exceed 98% uptime
• Manage vendors across multiple locations across the country and overseas
• Own and oversee local facilities budgets, P&L, and capex planning
• Lead facility improvement construction, commissioning, and retrofitting projects
• Respond to issues across a wide spectrum — from daily maintenance to major system failures
• Serve as the primary escalation point for facility or security issues

What We’re Looking For

• BA/BS degree in related fields such as Facilities Management, Business Management, or Engineering or equivalent work experience
• 10+ years of experience in facilities roles with director-level leadership, including significant account management and outsourcing strategy responsibilities
• Understanding of industrial and/or automotive real estate operational needs, ideally including electric vehicle charging
• Excellent judgment in the field — you spot hazards, violations, and risks immediately
• Demonstrable PM skills; able to advance projects with undefined scope, influence and align stakeholders
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to present in a formal setting, and ability to adapt communication to articulate program goals to a wide audience in a simple, straightforward way
• Understand technological advances, change management, organizational leadership and compliance requirements, and each supports/drives workplace strategies
• Confident navigating changing priorities and high-pressure scenarios
• Comfortable being the go-to responder for both minor and critical facilities issues
• Familiar with OSHA, safety inspections, emergency protocols, and compliance frameworks
• Comfortable traveling up to 25% or as the business needs require - this role will be responsible for overseeing facilities management and security services in cities outside of the hiring location
• (Preferred) Certification or Industry Designation in Project, Engineering or facilities Services
