Job summary

Black Butte Ranch, a premier destination resort in Central Oregon, seeks a Director of Facilities & Maintenance to oversee the operation, maintenance, and long-term care of all buildings, grounds, and infrastructure. You will lead a team to ensure safety, cleanliness, and reliability while supporting guest satisfaction and asset preservation.

Responsibilities include managing capital projects, budgets, compliance with safety/environmental standards, and vendor relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field.
• 7+ years of facilities management experience, ideally in hospitality or resort operations.
• Strong knowledge of building systems and maintenance operations.
• Experience with capital planning and project management.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

• Oversee daily operations of facilities and maintenance teams
• Develop and manage preventative maintenance programs
• Plan and execute capital improvement projects
• Manage departmental budgets and forecast long-term needs
• Ensure all systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, structural) operate safely and efficiently
• Oversee construction, renovation, and repair projects
• Maintain compliance with OSHA, building codes, and environmental regulations
• Manage vendor relationships and service contracts
• Lead, train, and develop team members
• Perform other duties as assigned

Summary

The Director of Facilities & Maintenance oversees the operation, maintenance, and long-term care of all Black Butte Ranch buildings, grounds, and infrastructure.
