Job Purpose

The Director of Facilities is personally responsible for the upkeep, safety, beauty, and usability of the entireSaint Raphael campus. Maintenance requests are handled speedily, competently, and in a budget-conscious manner. Setup needs of campus events are intuited and pro-actively anticipated, necessitatingfrequent meetings with the operations team to keep a close eye on the parish and school calendars.Custodians under this position’s supervision are held to task and kept well informed and coordinated in theirassigned duties.

Facilities Management

• Prepare all documents required to participate in the Catholic Mutual PRISM insurance program; update facilities usage, maintenance and repair plans. *
• Establish a short and long term maintenance and repair program that must also meet Catholic Mutual Requirments
• Ensure compliance with safety, security, and environmental regulations and practices. *
• Represent the Church of St. Raphael in matters relating to local civil concerns, including codes,variances, regulations, assessments, etc. *
• Review and seek approval from Catholic Mutual for all maintenance agreements, contracts and bids asrequired. Review and approve the purchase and maintenance of all machinery. *
• Negotiate and review all maintenance agreements, contracts, and bids. Monitor compliance withenvironmental, safety and health regulations. *
• Assist committee meetings as requested by pastor and provide necessary documents. *
• Provide assistance for parish events; respond to any issues, concerns or problems which may arise. *
• Responsible for creating annual facilities budget proposal and approving through Pastor, PBA, andFinance Council.
• Coding Invoices pertaining to facilities maintenance before passing them on to accounts payable.
• Establish working relationships with other departments such as: Parish School Principal and leadership,Religious Formation, Pastoral Care, Liturgy and Music. *
• Work availability during normal business hours to meet with all contractors and 3 rd party vendors.
• Attend calendaring meetings as directed by the Pastor and PBA. Regular check in meetings withparish and school leadership is also required.
