Welch's seeks a Director of Contract Manufacturing to lead the external manufacturing network, shape the future of partnerships, and enable agile, scalable growth. This role reports to the Head of Business Development and requires ownership of partner identification, onboarding, commercialization, and ongoing performance management.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive leadership across manufacturing, supply chain, operations, procurement, engineering, or external manufacturing in a CPG or food/beverage environment.
• Bachelor's degree required; Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations or related technical discipline preferred; MBA preferred.
• Demonstrated success developing enterprise manufacturing or supplier strategies that support growth and transformation.
• Experience leading end-to-end external (contract/co-) manufacturing partnerships with onboarding, commercialization, and performance management.

Responsibilities

• Support Welch's external manufacturing strategy and expand the co-manufacturing network for growth and flexibility.
• Architect a future-state footprint balancing internal production and external partners.
• Build strategic relationships with manufacturing partners for competitive advantage.
• Lead evaluation, onboarding, governance, and partnerships across platforms and geographies.
• Collaborate with supply chain and cross-functional leaders on multi-year capacity and continuity plans.
• Act as the executive business owner for the external manufacturing network with governance and scorecards.
• Drive make-versus-buy decisions, investments, and network optimization.
• Lead contract negotiations and long-term partnerships to optimize cost, service, and quality.
• Champion continuous improvement to enhance manufacturing performance, quality, and service.
• Develop scalable processes and governance for the external manufacturing function.
• Identify risks and opportunities across the supply base and mitigate for continuity.
• Lead cross-functional transformation and align senior stakeholders around priorities.
• Mentor and build a high-performing team and culture of accountability.
