Job summary

DCI Donor Services seeks an External Affairs Director to expand the organization’s reach through community engagement and donor registration initiatives. The role advocates for organ/tissue donation, builds partnerships with hospitals and government entities, and leads public education efforts to increase registered donors.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in marketing/communication, strong public speaking skills, and English/Spanish fluency. Travel is required as part of external relations work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; Masters Degree preferred.
• Eight (8) years in marketing and communication with project and people management experience.
• Fluency in English and Spanish preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with ability to pass MVR underwriting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains relationships with community groups to raise awareness of organ and tissue donation.
• Expands donation awareness through communications strategy, including advertising, PR, digital and social media, and strategic partnerships.
• Represents the company in community development activities and collaborates with hospitals, faith-based organizations, and government entities.
• Directs community relations programs to promote donation and save lives.
• Collaborates with leadership on regulatory positions and communicates with stakeholders.
