Job summary

The U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) seeks a Managing Director, Environmental & Social Risk Assessment to lead the ES risk program.

This role directs ES risk assessment activities and works with the E&S Division leadership to ensure strong risk governance across diverse projects. The position emphasizes leadership, policy development, and cross-team collaboration, with a focus on ensuring compliance with applicable standards and effective risk mitigation strategies.

Qualifications

• Oversee environmental and social risk management across a wide range of projects to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
• Present recommendations to leadership and brief external stakeholders on ES risk assessment analyses and policies.
• Collaborate across teams to develop and disseminate new or revised ES risk policies, procedures, and methodologies.
• Supervise a team and manage staff performance and development.

Responsibilities

• Direct the ES risk assessment program in collaboration with the E&S Division management team.
• Ensure adherence to federal ES standards and regulations across projects.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to implement risk management improvements.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to staff and share best practices across the organization.
