World Bank seeks an experienced Environmental and Social Development Specialist to support E&S risk management across regional transactions. The role involves technical review, guidance, and collaboration with regional teams to ensure adherence to environmental and social standards.

Based in Washington, DC, the candidate should bring a strong background in sustainability and risk assessment, with excellent analytical and communication skills. International travel may be required.

Qualificações

• Minimum of five years of relevant professional experience, including private sector experience in sustainability and E&S risk management.
• Graduate degree in environment and/or social discipline or related field; proven experience in social and environmental risk management.
• Familiarity with managing E&S issues in complex transactions across sectors.
• Knowledge of IFC's Sustainability Framework and Performance Standards is desirable.
• Strong analytical, writing and communication skills in English.
• Willingness to travel and manage multiple tasks under deadlines.
• Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural team with integrity.

Responsabilidades

• Review E&S documentation and monitoring reports; provide qualified technical opinions on risks and mitigants.
• Oversee portfolio projects; support risk ratings and oversight.
• Support Senior Management Portfolio Reviews; contribute to regional supervision program reviews.
• Provide technical assistance to regional E&S teams on complex projects.
• Input to the Integrated Risk Dashboard for consolidated E&S risk view.
