Aventura at Oakwood Village in Ohio is seeking a Director of Environmental Services to lead our environmental services operations and ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, families, and team members.

The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, extensive experience in housekeeping, laundry, sanitation, and infection prevention, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting. Flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, are required.

Qualifications

• Supervisory or management experience in Environmental Services, Housekeeping, Laundry, or Healthcare.
• Experience in senior living, assisted living, skilled nursing, or healthcare setting.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of housekeeping, laundry, sanitation, and infection-prevention practices.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of Environmental Services, Housekeeping, and Laundry departments.
• Supervise, train, coach, and schedule team members.
• Ensure all areas are clean, sanitary, safe, and orderly.
• Establish and maintain housekeeping, laundry, and sanitation standards and procedures.
• Conduct regular inspections of resident rooms, common areas, and dining spaces.
• Monitor inventory and manage ordering of supplies.
• Maintain records and documentation related to environmental services.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with Maintenance and other departments to address concerns.
• Respond promptly to resident and family concerns regarding cleanliness.
• Develop and maintain departmental schedules and staffing plans.
• Monitor departmental expenses and assist with budget management.
• Promote infection prevention and proper sanitation practices.
• Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
