Job summary

Axxess seeks a Director of Infrastructure to lead a high-performing team responsible for the design, implementation, operation, and support of enterprise infrastructure services in Dallas. You will drive security, reliability, scalability, and performance while partnering with Engineering, DevOps, and SecOps to deliver technology solutions that support business objectives and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
• Master's degree preferred
• Advanced certifications such as ITIL or cloud-related certifications preferred
• 8+ years progressive infrastructure experience
• 3+ years leadership experience overseeing infrastructure teams
• Experience with cloud, networking, virtualization, and enterprise systems
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Ability to work in Dallas office (not remote)

Responsibilities

• Provide layered leadership for day-to-day operations of enterprise infrastructure environments, ensuring availability, performance, security, and scalability
• Partner with DevOps, Engineering, Security, and other teams to execute infrastructure strategies
• Oversee cloud, server, storage, virtualization, and network infrastructure operations
• Direct modernization efforts including automation, monitoring, and capacity planning
• Establish and maintain infrastructure standards, policies, and best practices
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with standards and regulatory requirements
• Lead business continuity, disaster recovery, backup, and resilience planning
• Manage change management processes and governance to minimize risk
• Manage vendor relationships, contracts, software licensing, and infrastructure spending
• Monitor infrastructure performance metrics and service levels; drive improvements
• Drive incident management, root cause analysis, and problem resolution
• Mentor and develop infrastructure professionals through coaching and performance management
• Manage budgets and resource planning in support of organizational objectives
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions for efficiency and reliability
