Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking a Director of Event Strategy & Experience to own the enterprise event portfolio and align events with corporate priorities. You will lead a team of event planners, advise senior executives, and manage significant budgets and partnerships across functions.

The role is fully remote within the U.S. with up to 40% travel, reports to the VP of Associate Communications, and guides governance, analytics, and ROI for events.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in corporate events, experiential marketing, meetings, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-scale events and executive experiences, including C-suite meetings.
• Strong financial and operational management with ownership of substantial budgets, vendor and agency management, and ROI.

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior executives to translate strategic priorities into leadership meetings, conferences, and customer events.
• Lead end-to-end event execution across a complex portfolio including strategy, planning, production, logistics, and post-event evaluation.
• Build and lead a high-performing team of event planners with clear vision, priorities, standards, and accountability.
• Own significant event budgets and financial performance, forecasting, expenditures, and contract negotiations.
• Lead cross-functional governance by aligning communications, business units, executive offices, legal, procurement, and IT.
• Manage strategic agency, vendor, venue, and production partnerships and ensure quality and cost control.
• Establish analytics and continuous improvement practices to evaluate event impact and ROI.
• Ensure on-brand, risk-managed experiences with contingency planning.
