Job description

ACIS accredits, supports, and advances the interests of Colorado independent schools.

Job Title: Director of Enrollment Management

Department : Admissions

FTE / Benefits Status: Full Time/Benefited

Supervisor: Sr. Director for Revenue & Strategic Projects

International School of Denver (ISDenver) is an independent school that teaches the curricula and fulfills the highest educational standards of the United States, China, France, and Spain to prepare its students to thrive in a diverse and competitive global society. ISDenver is a prestigious International Baccalaureate World School offering immersion bilingual international education from PreK-High School, and is accredited by the Association of Colorado Independent Schools (ACIS) and participating governments. To learn more about ISDenver, please visit our website .

Staff and Faculty members are the cornerstone of our school. In addition to driving the school’s operations, they must also embody the school’s values and believe in the school’s mission:

ISDenver Mission: Our inclusive, globally minded community develops highly motivated and academically successful bilingual learners who are inter-culturally adept and make positive contributions in a complex world.

Position Summary:

ISDenver is excited to welcome its next Director of Enrollment Management to lead all aspects of the school's admissions, enrollment, and retention program. The right leader is someone who brings genuine warmth and a service orientation to families, pairs relational instinct with data-informed strategy, and is energized by telling the story of an IB, immersion education. ISDenver is not looking to chase every trend, but rather to sustain and grow an enrollment program that is mission-aligned, financially sound, and thoughtfully progressive.

The Director will be both strategic and hands-on: someone who can inspire confidence, partner across four divisions and two campuses, and guide a family's journey with care from first tour to matriculation and beyond. The role blends enrollment leadership (recruitment, admissions operations, financial aid, retention, and forecasting) with close partnership across marketing and communications, academic leadership, and finance — supporting a growing High School and the composition of every incoming cohort across three languages of instruction.

Duties & Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Don’t meet every single requirement? Studies have shown that people of color and people who do not identify as cisgender men are less likely to apply to jobs unless their experience specifically matches the qualifications. At ISDenver we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace, so if you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply. You may be just the candidate we are looking for!

STRATEGY, LEADERSHIP & GOVERNANCE

Develop and implement a forward-looking, multi-year strategic enrollment management plan aligned with the school's mission, values, and financial goals.

Serve as a member of the leadership team, reporting to the Sr. Director for Revenue & Strategic Projects and the Head of School, and communicate enrollment trends, risks, and results to leadership and — as needed — the Board of Trustees.

Set enrollment and financial-aid policy in partnership with finance, ensuring consistency, sustainability, and accountability across divisions and campuses.

Own enrollment forecasting and net-tuition-revenue modeling, providing a clear, data-informed view of the year ahead and the multi-year horizon.

TEAM AND OPERATIONS

Lead, supervise, coach, and develop the admissions and enrollment team, setting clear goals and a culture of warmth, responsiveness, and follow-through with families.

Establish service standards and workflows across the admissions funnel so every family interaction is consistent, timely, and high-touch.

Work hand-in-hand with the marketing and communications team — and with external vendors, consultants, and agency partners — to shape enrollment messaging, run coordinated recruitment campaigns, and translate the school's story into results.

RECRUITMENT, ADMISSIONS & FAMILY EXPERIENCE

Lead the full admissions funnel — inquiry, tours, open houses, application, evaluation, and enrollment — delivering a warm, responsive, high-touch experience for every family.

Cultivate and diversify recruitment pipelines, including feeder relationships and community partnerships, with particular focus on the growing High School division.

Partner with communications and marketing to articulate a clear, compelling value proposition for IB, immersion education across Spanish, French, and Chinese.

Assess and refine admissions programming and events to ensure they reflect the school's strengths and meet the needs of prospective families.

RETENTION, DATA & FINANCIAL AID

Drive strong re-enrollment across all divisions, working closely with faculty and leadership to understand and strengthen the enrolled-family experience.

Administer financial aid with rigor and equity, modeling scenarios that expand access while protecting the school's financial health.

Build a practical, data-informed approach to enrollment — leveraging the CRM and SIS for research, reporting, predictive modeling, and decision-making.

QUALIFICATIONS & QUALITIES

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is a minimum requirement; an advanced degree is desirable. Equivalent professional experience will be considered.

Demonstrable experience in admissions (including High School), enrollment management, or a related role — preferably in independent or international schools — paired with a willingness to remain hands-on.

A strong understanding of the budget drivers that impact school finances, including financial aid, net tuition revenue, and total enrollment health.

Demonstrated success managing enrollment or CRM systems and using data to inform strategy, forecasting, and communication with leadership and trustees.

A track record of building pipelines, strengthening retention, and delivering results in a competitive enrollment landscape.

Experience managing third-party vendors and leading concurrent projects with a proven ability to set priorities, adapt, and deliver.

Experience in an education setting and familiarity with school systems (SIS, CRM, etc.).

LEADERSHIP & PERSONAL QUALITIES

A relationship-driven, service-oriented style — warm and authentic with families, and eager to partner with colleagues across campus and divisions.

Dynamic and engaging communication and public-speaking skills, with close listening and the ability to “read a room” and adapt.

A strategic thinker and creative problem-solver who understands how enrollment connects to the broader school community and mission.

Flexibility and resourcefulness, with the creativity to find practical solutions when budgets are tight and demands are many.

A responsible steward of school resources who balances ambition with fiscal discipline and a clear-eyed sense of enrollment health.

Cultural competence and enthusiasm for a multilingual, international community; conversational ability in Spanish, French, or Chinese (Mandarin) is welcome but not required.

An empathetic, collegial, innovative, and patient mindset, and an eagerness to participate in the life of the school — which may include occasional evening or weekend events.
