3MD Inc. in Redmond, WA, seeks a Director of Engineering-Logistics Automation & Material Handling to lead a distributed team of mechanical and electrical designers. You will drive projects from concept to site deployment, delivering advanced conveyance systems and AMR solutions for fulfillment warehouses.

The role requires 7+ years leading multidisciplinary teams, deep domain knowledge in logistics, and strong PLM/QMS experience to ensure quality and successful integrations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, or Robotics Engineering
• 7+ years leading multidisciplinary teams across offices and regions
• Proven track record in logistics and e-commerce fulfillment markets
• Deep expertise in advanced conveyance and material handling
• Direct experience integrating robotic work-cells and AMR solutions
• Knowledge of PLC or IPC control frameworks and hardware integration

Responsibilities

• Distributed Leadership: Manage, mentor, and scale a multi-office, multi-regional team of mechanical and electrical designers
• Concept to Integration: Oversee product lifecycles from concept to full site deployment
• Process & Quality Compliance: Enforce QMS/PLM procedures
• Design Optimization: Accelerate engineering design while maintaining quality
• Technical Strategy: Define architectural roadmap for warehouse automation ecosystems
• Advanced Engineering: Drive design of high-speed conveyors and robotic work-cells
• Mobile Automation: Guide development and integration of custom AMR solutions
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with software, product, sales, and regional teams
