The College of Engineering at the University of Connecticut seeks a full-time professional staff member to serve as Director of Engineering Student Engagement. As a student-facing position, the modality of this position is hybrid, with significant on-campus expectations and limitedopportunities forremote work. Based on programming needs, attendance at occasional evening/weekend events may also be required. Reporting to the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Education, this position provides strategic leadership for high-impact educational experiences that enhance undergraduate engineering student engagement, success, leadership development, and global learning.
The Director oversees several signature College initiatives, including the Engineering House Learning Community, the International Engineering Program, and engineering dual-degree partnerships. The position develops and manages programs that foster academic success, student belonging, intercultural competence, and leadership development, while collaborating with faculty, academic departments, Residential Life, Global Affairs, Student Affairs, and other campus partners.
The Director supervises student staff and graduate assistants, manages program budgets, develops learning outcomes and assessment strategies, and supports continuous improvement efforts related to undergraduate student engagement initiatives and assigned program assessment activities.
This is a full-time, 12-month, permanent position.
