This role provides a unique opportunity to lead the engineering function for a cutting-edge cyber risk quantification platform. You will define and execute technical strategies, mentor a high-performing team, and drive innovation in high-throughput data processing and analytics. The position requires balancing hands-on technical leadership with strategic oversight, collaborating closely with product, design, and go-to-market teams. You will help shape engineering culture, ensure high-quality execution, and enable your team to deliver solutions that provide measurable business and customer impact. This is a remote-first role with global collaboration, offering autonomy, influence, and the chance to make a significant impact in cyber risk quantification.

Accountabilities
  • Lead and mentor engineering teams to consistently deliver high-quality, scalable, and innovative software solutions.
  • Define technical strategy and roadmap for cyber risk quantification products, ensuring alignment with business priorities and customer value.
  • Partner with Product, Design, and Go-to-Market teams to develop best-in-class solutions and bring them to market.
  • Drive technical excellence, including software governance, agile practices, and high-throughput system design.
  • Build and grow a motivated, skilled engineering team through coaching, mentoring, and fostering a collaborative culture.
  • Break down complex technical challenges into actionable solutions that deliver value incrementally and in aggregate.
  • Influence organizational engineering culture and long-term strategy while balancing short-term execution needs.
  • 7+ years of engineering leadership experience, preferably in high-growth, complex product environments.
  • 10+ years of professional experience with major programming languages, including .NET, and front-end technologies such as React or Angular.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and technologies (e.g., encryption, authentication, network security).
  • Proven ability to set vision, unlock team potential, and drive execution with accountability and high-quality outcomes.
  • Experience with software governance, agile methodologies, and strategic decision-making.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams, time zones, and functions.
  • High emotional intelligence (EQ), adaptable to change, and capable of operating at multiple levels of abstraction.
  • Familiarity with risk management principles and processes is a plus.
