Our client, an AI-driven organization impacting the healthcare sector, is hiring a Director of Engineering to join the team remotely. The successful candidate will lead the development and expansion of their innovative product suite, leading multiple full-stack teams to deliver scalable, high-quality, user-centric software.
Responsibilities
Manage and expand several full-stack teams focused on building cutting-edge clinical AI solutions.
Lead the continuous improvement of their product suite, including upgrading existing applications and launching new offerings.
Work closely with product managers, designers and key stakeholders to speed up delivery and creatively test product assumptions.
Advocate for engineering excellence and operational efficiency by setting clear, measurable goals for quality, speed and security.
Ensure patient data privacy by enforcing secure coding practices and compliance throughout development.
Collaborate with engineering leadership to establish the technical vision, architectural frameworks and engineering standards.
Skillset
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar.
At least 12 years of experience in software engineering, including a minimum of 4 years in leadership roles.
Demonstrated track record of successfully bringing new software products to market and scaling engineering teams.
Strong business acumen with the ability to align technology initiatives to organisational objectives.
Deep expertise in Domain-Driven Design and contemporary software architecture principles.
Experience working in startup environments, ideally within the healthtech sector.
Prior experience as a startup founder or leading teams in high-growth startup settings is a plus.
Outstanding communication skills.
Benefits
Salary: $260,000 – $300,000 DOE.
