Job summary

Sheraton Galleria, Atlanta is seeking a hands-on Director of Engineering to lead all hotel engineering and maintenance operations. You will oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety systems, drive preventive maintenance programs, and manage department budgets and capital projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years in hotel or commercial facilities engineering
• Two+ years in supervisory/management role
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety systems
• Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Proficiency with CMMS and basic computer apps
• High school diploma; technical certifications preferred

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage all engineering, maintenance, and facilities operations for the hotel.
• Ensure building systems are maintained and operating efficiently.
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, fire, and building regulations.
• Manage engineering department budget and capital projects.
• Supervise and train engineering staff; schedule and evaluate performance.
• Maintain records and documentation on maintenance and inspections.
• Coordinate with leadership, vendors, and contractors on repairs and renovations.
• Respond to guest concerns and maintenance issues promptly.
