The Team
Our Digital Success Engineering team is a diverse group of engineers, architects, and managers working collaboratively to build unified experiences that foster customer success through Salesforce technology.

The Role
The Senior Manager/Director of Software Engineering will lead governance, global support, and innovation initiatives within Digital Success Engineering. Responsibilities include managing data, architecture, processes, tools, ensuring compliance, and fostering innovation. The candidate should have deep Salesforce architecture knowledge, experience managing engineering/support teams, and developing governance frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement governance frameworks, policies, and best practices
  • Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and legal requirements
  • Establish technical governance standards in Apex, LWC, and security
  • Use KPIs to measure platform health, security, and customer maturity, identifying improvements
  • Manage service metrics, incident reviews, and reduce recurring issues
  • Lead support processes, develop support models and playbooks
  • Oversee troubleshooting, incident resolution, and SLA adherence
  • Conduct detailed RCAs, prevent recurrence of issues
  • Maintain issue management knowledge bases
  • Report critical outages and application status to management
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align engineering with organizational goals
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and innovation
  • Lead evaluations of new industry trends and Agentforce features
  • Drive continuous improvement and stay current with Salesforce trends
Professional Experience/Skills Required
  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent; experience evaluated on value alignment
  • 10+ years in Salesforce administration and cloud products (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Data Cloud, Agentforce)
  • Proven Salesforce governance and operations experience
  • Strong Salesforce architecture, configuration, and customization knowledge
  • Excellent cross-functional communication skills
  • Salesforce certifications are a plus
  • Lifelong learner, inquisitive, passionate about technology and sharing knowledge
  • Strategic problem solver with executive communication skills
  • Experience with design thinking, innovation techniques
  • Experience leading emerging tech adoption (AI, cloud-native, low-code/no-code)

The salary range for this role varies by location:
- Washington: $211,500 - $306,600
- California: $230,800 - $334,600
- Illinois: $211,500 - $306,600
