Job summary

FPC Franchise in Dallas, TX is seeking a Director of Engineering – Offsite Manufacturing to drive the nationwide Off-site Manufacturing program across three business units. You will coordinate design, engineering, and construction teams to implement scalable OSM strategies on major projects.

The role requires 7+ years of relevant experience with at least 4 years in management, and strong client-facing skills to lead proposals, sales support, and execution planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, mechanical systems, or related field preferred.
• 7+ years of relevant experience with 4+ years in a management role.
• 2+ years of site experience supporting engineering/design during construction.
• Experience leading design or design-build projects in high-tech manufacturing or clean facilities.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary facility design scopes, including CSA and MEP.
• Strong client-facing experience and ability to lead change management across projects.
• Experience leading proposal development.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the U.S. regional champion for Off-site Manufacturing, coordinating strategy across projects.
• Lead OSM engineering and solutions across U.S. projects with cross-functional teams.
• Support front-end sales, client engagement, proposals, tender submissions, and execution planning.
• Ensure OSM strategies are in Project Execution Plans with staffing, resources, and tools.
• Coordinate OSM workstreams for prioritized projects and regional/global initiatives.
• Partner with clients and internal stakeholders to implement prefab and other off-site solutions.
• Provide project-level leadership for OSM execution, managing budgets and EV projections.
• Support strategic initiatives for market growth, profitability, and operational efficiency.
• Develop and mentor OSM engineering personnel as the regional organization grows.
• Promote safety culture and integrate safety policies into project execution.
• Maintain collaboration with Discipline Directors, Design Operations, Construction, and Senior Management.

Our client is a high-tech facilities design & construction company looking for a Director of Engineering – Offsite Manufacturing to be responsible for the execution and coordinated implementation of the Off-site Manufacturing strategy at the national level across all 3 business units.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as the U.S. regional champion for Off-site Manufacturing (OSM), coordinating implementation of the global OSM strategy across projects
• Lead OSM engineering and solutions across U.S. projects in collaboration with regional engineering, design, construction, and project leadership
• Support front-end sales, client engagement, proposals, tender submissions, presentations, solution estimating, and execution planning for OSM solutions
• Ensure OSM strategies are incorporated into Project Execution Plans with appropriate staffing, resources, procedures, and tools
• Coordinate OSM workstreams for prioritized projects and key regional/global initiatives
• Partner with clients and internal stakeholders to identify and implement prefab, modularization, and other off-site manufacturing solutions
• Provide project-level leadership for OSM execution while managing budgets, earned-value projections, and interdisciplinary issues
• Support strategic initiatives focused on market growth, profitability, operational efficiency, and expansion of OSM capabilities
• Develop and mentor OSM engineering personnel as the regional organization grows
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure company safety policies are integrated into project execution
• Maintain close collaboration with Discipline Directors, Design Operations, Business Acquisition, Construction, and Senior Management
