Nbutexas seeks an experienced Director of Engineering to lead engineering, asset management and system operations for northern and eastern Maine. This senior role shapes grid strategy, budgets, and regulatory testimony through a managed team of professionals, with a strong focus on asset management and capital planning.

Qualifications

• Ten years of senior leadership and management experience.
• Ability to lead large multidisciplinary teams across engineering, asset management and operations.
• Comfort operating in a regulated environment or in capital planning/regulatory work.

Responsibilities

• Lead transmission and distribution strategy and day-to-day operations.
• Oversee the asset management team that develops the company's capital plan.
• Ensure capital dollars are directed to the right projects and investments.
• Support the development of defensible regulatory cases and testimony for the state commission.
• Lead engineering, system operations, field technician, and AMI teams through layers of managers.
• Manage both capital and O&M budgets in line with business strategy.
• Guide long-term system planning that supports distributed generation growth.
• Develop and mentor the managers and program leaders on the team.
• Support system restoration and emergency operations as needed.
