You will drive delivery, mentor managers, set engineering priorities aligned with business goals, and shape architecture decisions that improve reliability and enable future growth.

The role offers remote work within the United States with a base salary of $210,000 to $240,000

Qualificações

• 3+ years of engineering management experience.

• Strong backend architecture and design skills; willingness to stay hands-on in code.
• Experience with TypeScript or Python, AWS, and MongoDB; familiarity with React.

About the Role

Lead and scale multiple product engineering teams at a mission-driven K-12 education technology company. Reporting to the CTO, you will guide technical direction and product delivery as the organization grows, starting with a balanced mix of hands‑on engineering and leadership.

What You'll Do

• Lead multiple product squads, supporting engineers and managers while driving delivery across their product areas.

• Contribute code, review work, and pair with engineers, with an initial focus split between hands‑on engineering and leadership.

• Make and communicate architecture decisions that support platform reliability and future growth.

• Partner with product and other cross‑functional teams to set squad goals and connect engineering priorities to business outcomes.

• Deliver valuable product features, including AI-powered capabilities.

What We're Looking For

• At least 3 years of engineering management experience, including managing multiple engineering teams and supporting team growth.

• Experience owning product areas and business goals, and translating technical decisions into measurable outcomes.

• Strong backend architecture and design skills, with a willingness to stay hands‑on in code.

• Experience with TypeScript or Python, AWS, and MongoDB; familiarity with React and the ability to ramp up on new technologies.

• Background in K-12 education technology or related learning and teaching fields, and interest in applying AI.

• Clear communication skills and comfort working in a fast-growing, ambiguous environment.

• Ability to travel for occasional company retreats and business needs.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: $210,000 to $240,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
