Your resume and cover letter, tailored to exactly what they’re hiring for.
Storm2 seeks a Head of Forward Deployed Engineering in New York to build and lead the FDE function, working directly with bankers on live deals and production deployments. You will own multi-system integrations and ensure secure, compliant rollouts across large financial institutions.
You will stay hands-on with code, shape the roadmap, and hire the first eight engineers, influencing both product direction and enterprise revenue.
$325k - $375k base + up to 20% bonus + 0.35% - 0.50% equity
Storm2's client is a late-stage AI company automating some of the most manual work inside investment banking, from financial models and comps through to diligence and presentation workflows.
They've raised more than $250m, are valued in the billions, and already have their technology running inside several of the world’s largest investment banks. The problem now isn't generating demand. It's getting complex financial institutions live quickly and successfully.
You'll build the Forward Deployed Engineering function in New York while staying close to the code and closer to customers. That means sitting alongside bankers working on live transactions, understanding why a workflow breaks, then turning what you learn into production software.
The difficult bit is everything surrounding the AI. You'll need to make modern agent systems work with platforms like FactSet and S&P Capital IQ, enormous data rooms, legacy deal systems and enterprise environments where security, model risk and compliance can stop a deployment completely.
You'll report directly to the CEO, hire the first eight FDEs, and have meaningful influence over both product direction and enterprise revenue.
If you've previously worked in investment banking, private equity, quantitative finance or another environment where you understand financial modelling and transaction workflows first-hand, that background will be particularly valuable.
You don’t need to have been a banker. You do need to be able to get credible with one quickly.
This is an in-person New York role. If you want a remote leadership position where the team handles deployment while you run the org, it won’t be the right fit. If you want to build the function and still be the person trusted with the hardest deployment in the company, it probably will be.
