Job summary

HACM in Milwaukee seeks a Director of Engagement, Communications, and Internal Affairs to lead strategies that strengthen mission-driven culture, improve staff engagement, and support leadership with clear messaging.

You will oversee internal and external communications, coordinate resident services and community partnerships, and ensure governance alignment with equity and accountability across HACM’s programs.

Responsibilities

• Employee Engagement and Organizational Culture: Develop and lead strategies that promote a mission-driven, inclusive, and collaborative culture.
• Internal & External Communications: Oversee communications to inform staff and external stakeholders; craft leadership messaging and announcements.
• Strategic Planning and Internal Alignment: Collaborate with executive leadership on long-term goals and cross-departmental initiatives.
• Internal Affairs and Governance Support: Ensure compliance with internal policies and governance standards; manage confidential inquiries and investigations.
• Resident Services, Stakeholder and Community Engagement: Build relationships with residents and community partners; represent HACM at meetings and events.
