Director of Energy Storage Engineering

USA (Remote)

Salary - $170,000 - $200,000 + Medical + Dental + 401K + PTO + Bonuses

Are you a Director of Engineering with experience in Energy storage looking to work for a market leading organization in the renewable energy sector?

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity at a high-growth company with the chance to deepen your technical expertise, and a clear path toward executive-level advancement.

As a Director of Energy Storage Engineering you will lead technical evaluation and independent engineering for BESS and hybrid energy projects. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing design packages, SLDs, site layouts, and project schedules. You'll support procurement with technical exhibits and bid evaluations, consult on fire safety, and assist owners with project management and dispute resolution. You'll also engage in business development, including conferences, client outreach, and proposal development. Proficiency in AutoCAD and deep knowledge of energy storage systems will be key in this role.

The Person:
*Experience performing engineering services on Battery Storage projects
*Experience with AutoCAD to prepare BESS drawings
*Expert understanding of battery storage equipment, all subsystems and SCADA
*PE license
*US citizen or Green Card holder

Responsibilities:
*Provide technical leadership on BESS and hybrid renewable energy projects
*Engineering services for Renewable Energy and Battery Storage projects
*Lead site visits, contractor meetings, and progress reviews
*Develop implementation schedules, technical specifications, and procurements exhibits
