Advantage Technical is seeking a Director of Electrical Design to lead a high-reliability telecommunications hardware team in Newington, NH. The role combines deep hands-on engineering with people leadership, overseeing 6–8 engineers from concept through production.

You will own analog and mixed‑signal design, drive architecture, PCB/PCBA development, testing, qualification, and manufacturing transfer while mentoring engineers and guiding technical decisions across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience within the telecommunications industry.
• Extensive experience as a Senior, Lead, Staff, or Principal Electrical Design Engineer.
• Deep hands-on expertise in analog circuit design, including simulation and troubleshooting.
• Experience leading a group of engineers, providing technical direction, mentoring, and team performance.
• Experience with complete PCB/PCBA lifecycle from concept to manufacturing transfer.
• Experience with design for manufacturability and production readiness.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of 6–8 electrical engineers, providing technical direction and career development.
• Provide end-to-end technical leadership from initial concept through manufacturing and production.
• Lead the development of high-reliability electrical hardware and PCB/PCBA designs for telecommunications products.
• Serve as senior technical authority for analog circuit design and cross-disciplinary leadership.
• Own and oversee PCB/PCBA development including architecture, schematic design, layout, prototyping, testing, and transfer.
