Job summary

TAS Environmental Services, LP seeks a Director of Environmental, Health & Safety Solutions to lead and optimize our compliance and safety programs across multiple facilities. Qualifications

  • 10+ years of Environmental, Health & Safety leadership experience within environmental services, industrial operations, transportation, oil & gas, waste management, or related industries.
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, RCRA, SPCC, wastewater, and environmental permitting requirements.
  • Experience managing multi-site regulatory compliance programs and operational safety initiatives.
  • Proven ability to develop scalable compliance systems and enterprise-wide programs.
  • Experience supporting high-risk operations and regulated environments.
  • CSP, CHMM, CIH, ASP, or similar certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead company-wide Environmental, Health & Safety strategy across all facilities and operational divisions.
  • Oversee environmental compliance programs related to air permits, wastewater permits, stormwater compliance, SPCC plans, waste handling requirements, inspection programs, reporting deadlines, and agency interactions.
  • Develop and maintain centralized systems for tracking permits, inspections, corrective actions, renewals, and regulatory commitments across all facilities.
  • Ensure organizational compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and all applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with operational leadership to identify compliance risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Drive continual improvement initiatives focused on incident reduction, environmental stewardship, and regulatory readiness.
  • Coordinate regulatory inspections, internal audits, customer compliance reviews, and agency responses.

Director of Environmental, Health & Safety Solutions (EHS)

The Director of Environmental, Health & Safety Solutions (EHS) is a strategic leadership role responsible for the oversight, development, and continual improvement of the company’s environmental compliance and health & safety programs across all operational locations. This role serves as the central point of coordination for regulatory compliance, environmental permitting, inspection readiness, risk mitigation, and enterprise safety initiatives supporting the organization’s multi-state operations.

The Director of EHS will lead the company’s efforts to proactively manage environmental obligations, maintain regulatory compliance, strengthen operational safety performance, and build scalable systems that support sustainable business growth. This position works closely with Operations, Fleet, Risk & Liability, Commercial Operations, and Executive Leadership to ensure consistency, accountability, and alignment across the organization.

Director of Environmental, Health & Safety Solutions Job Duties:

  • Lead company-wide Environmental, Health & Safety strategy across all facilities and operational divisions.
  • Oversee environmental compliance programs related to air permits, wastewater permits, stormwater compliance, SPCC plans, waste handling requirements, inspection programs, reporting deadlines, and agency interactions.
  • Develop and maintain centralized systems for tracking permits, inspections, corrective actions, renewals, and regulatory commitments across all facilities.
  • Ensure organizational compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and all applicable federal, state, local, and client-specific regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with operational leadership to identify compliance risks, operational gaps, and improvement opportunities.
  • Drive continual improvement initiatives focused on incident reduction, environmental stewardship, regulatory readiness, and operational discipline.

  • Coordinate regulatory inspections, internal audits, customer compliance reviews, and agency responses.
  • Develop standardized policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks that create consistency across all locations.
  • Provide executive leadership with visibility into environmental and safety performance through reporting, metrics, trend analysis, and corrective action tracking.
  • Support operational growth initiatives by ensuring environmental and safety compliance requirements are incorporated into new services, facilities, projects, and acquisitions.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration between Operations, Environmental, Fleet, Maintenance, Risk, and Safety teams to ensure alignment and accountability.
  • Facilitate company-wide safety communications, alerts, and regulatory updates.
  • Develop long-term EHS strategies that improve organizational resilience, reduce risk exposure, and support operational excellence.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Scope & Organizational Impact:

This role supports a complex operational environment consisting of multiple facilities, diverse environmental service lines, transportation operations, industrial services, emergency response activities, and regulated waste operations across multiple states.

The scale of regulatory obligations, environmental permitting requirements, operational risks, and customer expectations requires dedicated leadership focused on centralized oversight, program management, and compliance sustainability.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
