Job summary

NBCUniversal is seeking a Director of EHS to lead environmental, health and safety oversight for feature productions in Los Angeles. You will guide safety on set, review scripts for hazards, and coordinate with production executives and crews to ensure regulatory compliance.

The role requires senior EHS expertise, strong communication, and the ability to travel internationally as needed. This is a full-time, on-site position with NBCUniversal benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience handling complex safety issues.
• Proven ability to cultivate client relationships for results.
• Must apply via nbcu careers and be willing to work in LA.
• Must be 18+ years old and authorized to work in the United States.
• Willing to travel internationally and domestically.
• Able to climb ladders and wear PPE.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with productions to ensure EHS expectations are met.
• Establish and enforce safe practices for all production personnel.
• Conduct pre-lease inspections of production spaces and resolve EHS issues.
• Review scripts for potential EHS hazards (effects, stunts, props, locations).
• Attend production meetings to guide safety considerations.
• Prepare location safety memos for general and specific concerns.
• Provide education and safety training to staff and management.
