Ensure plant level environmental compliance including permit condition and monitoring tracking, department level release and near‑miss reporting, frequent communication, on‑site environmental audits, and a robust training, certification and learning system including a compliance and regulatory tracking program to keep accurate records and ensure advanced warning of training and certification renewals.

Work with EHS Leads and consultants to compile, review for accuracy and submit ALL environmental regulatory and compliance reports for the California sites, including air emissions inventories, hazardous waste and wastewater reports, storm water documentation and CUPA/Hazardous Materials Business Plan submittals, as well as required health and safety reporting.

Educate, drive and measure site performance to ensure full compliance with all hazardous material handling, storage and waste management regulations as a part of daily operations.

Complete environmental compliance audits and on‑going site visits to constantly identify regulatory exposures, release potential and hazards and evaluate the compliance and loss producing potential of a given system, operation, or process and implement sustainable and measureable solutions that ensure full compliance of all locations within the region.

Implement a consistent environmental reporting and metrics system and analyze emissions, discharge, waste generation, permit deviation and environmental incident data — together with injury/illness data — for targeted activities to drive a zero release, zero incident culture.

Audit internal programs to determine the effectiveness and progress to best‑in‑class standards.

Ensure a process and resources are in place with metrics to conduct routine inspections of secondary containment, storm water controls and outfalls, air emission control equipment, tanks, hazardous waste and universal waste accumulation areas, aboveground storage and spill response supplies, as well as emergency lighting, fire extinguishers, ventilation, eyewash stations and PPE availability at the location as necessary to maintain best‑in‑class environmental procedures.
