What You’ll Do
As the Director of EDI & Data Services, you will lead a high-performing team, responsible for end-to-end delivery, management, and optimization of all data integrations across our benefits platform. You’ll oversee EDI solutions supporting client and partner data exchange, shape data integration strategy, improve operational efficiency, and scale our data services infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, and Client Services to ensure secure, timely, and accurate data transmission that supports a seamless user experience.
Strategic Leadership
- Define and drive the strategic direction of ThrivePass’s Data Services function aligned to business and client needs.
- Set team goals, key performance metrics, and ensure successful execution of data integration initiatives.
- Evaluate, assess, and deploy partner and vendor integration strategies to enhance efficiency and scale.
- Analyze applications of LLM and AI layers to enhance service offerings.
Team Development & Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of EDI specialists and data professionals.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture rooted in CARE values.
- Integration Oversight
- Oversee all file and API integrations with clients, vendors, and carriers ensuring compliance, quality, and timelines.
- Escalate and resolve complex integration challenges with internal and external partners.
Process Improvement & Innovation
- Optimize workflows, tools, and processes to increase speed, reliability, and scalability of data exchange.
- Partner with Operations and Engineering to influence middleware tools and automation capabilities.
Operational Excellence
- Ensure compliance with data security, HIPAA, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage SLAs, performance metrics, and risk mitigation across data services.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Serve as the primary contact for data-related escalations and ensure client alignment.
- Drive stakeholder engagement across departments to proactively address integration and data needs.
What You Bring
- 10+ years experience in data integration, EDI, or technical operations, with 5+ years in leadership or senior management.
- Proven track record managing large-scale data integration projects including ANSI X12 834 EDI, API exchanges, and SFTP transfers.
- Strong knowledge of benefits administration platforms such as TPA, COBRA, CDH, HSA, HRA, and FSA preferred.
- Technical fluency in EDI formats (ANSI X12, JSON, XML) and scripting languages like Jscript.
- Deep understanding of HIPAA compliance and data security best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead transformation and drive scalable delivery improvements.
- Exceptional project management and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership.
- Experience thriving in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
- 5+ years managing teams to meet or exceed goals.

Salary Offered
$120,000 - $135,000 per year
