Job summary

The YMCA of the Lowcountry is hiring a Full-Time Exempt Childcare Manager to lead a high-quality childcare program that serves families in the Ridgeland area. You will recruit, train, and supervise a team of educators, manage scheduling, and ensure program excellence aligned with SC DSS standards.

You will also oversee budgeting, fee collection, and collaboration with families and state agencies, while maintaining safety compliance and licensing requirements across all programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in childcare management with supervisory experience.
• Experience establishing SC DSS-compliant school programs and licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a high-quality childcare program aligned with community needs and SC DSS standards.
• Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate educators to ensure a high-performing team.
• Develop and manage the childcare department budget and ensure proper fee collection and financial guidelines.
• Build and maintain relationships with families, partners, and state agencies to promote programs and assure compliance.
• Ensure childcare programs meet safety standards and licensing requirements, including staff CPR/First Aid training.
