Job summary

Accendra Health is seeking a Director of Direct Procurement & Category Management to shape enterprise-wide sourcing strategies for direct materials, packaging, and finished goods. You will partner with manufacturing, operations, quality, and regulatory affairs to ensure reliable supply and patient outcomes.

The role emphasizes leadership in supplier governance, risk management, and long-range planning within a healthcare products environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, Life Sciences, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or related field.
• 10+ years progressive procurement, sourcing, category management, healthcare products, or related experience.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing procurement or category management teams.
• Strong knowledge of category management, supplier risk management, quality systems, contracting and negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute long-term direct procurement and category strategies that support manufacturing, product supply, business growth, and customer commitments.
• Lead supply continuity strategies and risk mitigation for healthcare products and production inputs.
• Drive category strategy development and execution across direct spend categories.
• Lead executive negotiations and supplier relationship programs.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Operations, Quality, Regulatory, Product Management, and Finance leadership to ensure reliable supply.
