Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in payments including online and mobile banking, ACH, ATM, debit/credit, wires, etc.
  • 3 years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and standard software applications.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing teams and fostering professional development.
  • Solid understanding of banking regulations, compliance, audit standards and risk management relevant to digital payments.
  • Strong knowledge of electronic payment products, services, operations and industry trends.
  • Ability to apply technical knowledge to electronic payment policies using banking principles.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategy and vision for the digital payments function.
  • Provide strategic oversight for all aspects of the digital payments function.
  • Mentor department leadership team and provide performance feedback on an ongoing basis.
  • Partner with Learning & Development to create targeted training programs for ongoing development.
  • Utilize data analytics to monitor performance metrics, identify opportunities for action, and refine processes.
  • Evaluate and optimize business systems and platforms for refinement and innovation.
  • Prioritize efficiency and effectiveness of payment operations through policy changes.
  • Oversee initiation and implementation of new directives, policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with various business units for alignment.
  • Define strategic KPIs and align department goals with organizational strategy.
  • Participate in recruitment, hiring, and succession planning for key roles.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through workshops and networks.
  • Adhere to compliance with federal bank regulations and AML program.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

This position monitors the payments industry and the trends and habits of our customers, confirming alignment with the Bank’s strategic goals. The Director of Digital Payments ensures alignment with the Bank’s strategic goals through cross-functional collaboration, system optimization, and team development.
