WAGO Corporation is seeking a Director of Digital Marketing for the Americas. This position is a senior-level role responsible for overseeing the strategic and tactical execution of digital marketing initiatives. They ensure efficient processes, effective use of marketing technology, and successful alignment with business goals. This role requires a blend of marketing strategy, technology proficiency, and leadership skills in working across the Americas countries. This person will be responsible for developing, executing, and overseeing all aspects of Digital Marketing Operations including strategic planning, technology management, process development and optimization, data analysis and reporting, budget management, vendor management and cross-functional collaboration across marketing, sales, finance, IT, channel and support functions. This role will work to create, manage and metric all Marketing effectiveness KPIs while ensuring alignment with overall marketing strategy, brand guidelines and sales initiatives.
This position reports to the Vice President of Marketing and Digitization - Americas and works in close collaboration with Marketing leadership positions in the United States, Mexico, Brazil and Canada, along with our headquarters in Germany. This position will also work in tandem with the same role/position supporting two other regions (EMEA and APAC). Key roles this position will coordinate with are Channel Marketing, Product Marketing Managers, Marketing Communications, Training, Support, and Sales teams.

Experience Required
- Strong understanding of digital marketing principles and practices: Including SEO, social media marketing, email marketing, paid advertising, and content marketing.
- Experience with specifying, implementing and using all marketing technology platforms: Including CRM (SAP), marketing automation such as Hubspot, SEM/O tools such as SEMRush, analytics tools and dashboards such as Looker and Tableau, and data management platforms and AI tools relative to marketing and sales capabilities.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills: To identify trends, measure performance, and develop data-driven strategies.
- Leadership and team management, demonstrating skills to motivate and guide a team, delegate tasks, and ensure successful project execution.
- Knowledge and use of traditional and digital marketing tactics, systems, tools and processes to meet strategic market goals and objectives
- Target audience creation, management and overall general principles of marketing campaign creation, execution and tracking
- Excellent project management and communication skills with the ability to balance rigorous attention to details with swift execution
- Minimum 5 years’ experience managing budgets, creating and delivering on marketing ROI
- Knowledge of marketing operations tools required to create, track, report and modify campaigns
- Experience with B2B2C marketing and sales efforts across a variety of channels and tactics.
- Demonstration of ability to generate cross functional and collaborative relationships in a matrixed channel
- Demonstration of digital campaign development and execution with proven ability to design and guide metrics
- Ability to own and deliver operational excellence and continuous improvement
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to operate an automobile for up to six hours at a time.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- International business experience a plus.
- Must be able to travel via airplane.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, digital marketing, communications, computer sciences, or a related field: MBA or other advanced degrees can be beneficial.
- + 5 years of experience in digital marketing operations: With some experience in marketing strategy or management.
- + 5 years of management or leadership role
- + 5 years of Marketing operations implementation and optimization
- + 5 years of Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale digital transformation initiatives
- + 5 years of Expert knowledge of marketing work management tools (e.g., Monday, Adobe Workfront, SAP Marketing Cloud, Marketo, Hubspot, or similar tools)
- + 5 years of deep expertise in marketing operations technology, data analytics, reporting, KPI dashboard ideation, creation and management, and agile methodologies.
- Travel estimates 25%. International travel and travel to corporate headquarters could also be required on a periodic basis.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction, guidance and management for Digital Marketing Operations across business groups such as customer service, product support, R&D, Global Business Divisions, and coordination with all countries within the Americas region.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive 3–5-year marketing operations transformation roadmap
- Evaluate and implement Gen AI tools and use cases to enhance marketing operations and content development.
- Establish a marketing operations center of excellence to drive best practices and continuous improvement
- Architect and implement future-state vision for marketing operations technology stack
- Lead change management initiatives, including developing communication plans and training programs
- Regularly communicate strategies and initiatives to Vice President Marketing & Digitization and with VP Sales, VP Operations and President of WAGO United States and other Americas countries.
- Collect and analyze feedback from all stakeholders(Voice of Customer), channel partners, customers, and all applicable business functions to shape requirements, features and end products. Including Market Intelligence while leveraging industry and macro/micro economic research and data sources.
- Collaborate with team members across the Americas region to develop new areas’ initiatives, strong mar tech ecosystem value propositions, innovative approaches to Digital Marketing capabilities
- Meet assigned business targets and develop strategies to meet/exceed objectives
- Regularly review individual team member performance and progress against strategic plans and develop team members in deficient areas
- Direct, coach and mentor direct reports as well as all other marketing and sales functions while instilling and managing to key performance metrics
- Measures of effectiveness of all digital marketing systems, tools, processes and performances
- Ensure digital marketing team members have the tools and training required to support customers, sales team and growth.
- Manage the digital marketing budget effectively, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to meet business objectives
- Make creative recommendations to expand vision and capabilities
