Job summary

The Commonwealth of Kentucky's Office of the Attorney General seeks an Executive Director of Digital Forensics to lead the DCI laboratory operations in Frankfort and oversee the development of a new Mayfield laboratory. You will supervise forensic examiners, set policies, ensure quality assurance, and provide expert testimony when required.

Responsibilities include directing field operations, reports, and collaboration with investigators and prosecutors, along with travel to field assignments

Qualifications

• Must hold POPS law enforcement certification.
• Possess and carry a firearm with required training.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Willing to travel and work after hours as needed.
• Experience in digital forensics and supervising staff preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct digital forensics laboratory operations across Frankfort and Mayfield labs.
• Supervise the Assistant Lab Director and staff at both locations.
• Develop and enforce laboratory policies, procedures, and QA practices.
• Personally conduct digital forensic examinations of computers, mobile devices, storage media and other digital evidence.
• Prepare examination reports, provide technical guidance and testify in court as required.
• Support the development and opening of the Mayfield laboratory.
