Job summary

A governmental engineering body is seeking a manager for the Development Plans Review Division to oversee land development engineering and ensure compliance with local codes. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, extensive experience in the field, and a Maryland Professional Engineer’s license. You will supervise a team, review engineering plans, and represent the division in public settings.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years’ experience in land development engineering.
• Minimum of three years of supervisory experience.
• Valid Class 'C' non-commercial driver’s license and Maryland Professional Engineer’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises staff in the Division and manages project submittals.
• Reviews and interprets plans and permits for compliance.
• Serves as liaison for various permitting processes.
• Aides in budget preparation and manages expenditures.
• Represents the Division in public meetings.
