Job summary

Fresno State, part of the California State University system, seeks a Director of Development to lead major gifts efforts for the Jordan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology. This role drives fundraising strategy, cultivates high-level donor relationships, and partners with university leadership to advance campaigns and programs.

The position requires collaborative leadership, strong proposals and presentation skills, and willingness to travel to build and maintain major donor

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required from a regionally accredited institution.
• Minimum of four years of progressively responsible and successful fundraising experience or similar experience in sales/marketing/public relations.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships with individuals and groups and work as part of a team.
• Appreciation of the importance of education to individuals and society.

Responsibilities

• Identify, cultivate and solicit major gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations.
• Plan and implement development and Jordan College-based campaign strategies.
• Collaborate with the Dean, VPUA, AVP, and SDOD/ED on strategy conversations and volunteer leadership development.
• Engage with diverse campus partners to advance fundraising goals.
