Job summary

The University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL is seeking an Executive Director of Development Resources to lead DAR's development innovation and enablement efforts. This senior role designs, tests, and implements technology-enabled fundraising solutions and collaborates with frontline teams to improve donor engagement and productivity.

You will build and guide a small team, translate ideas into practical applications, and ensure responsible use of university-approved tools and platforms to advance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, analytics, information management, computer science, advancement, or related field.
• 10 years or more of relevant work experience.
• Experience building, configuring, prototyping, or implementing technology-enabled solutions.
• Experience using automation, low-code/no-code platforms, AI tools, and workflow technologies.
• Experience moving projects from concept to implementation and adoption.
• Experience leading and developing staff.
• Strong project management, prioritization, and execution skills.
• Excellent judgment with confidential or sensitive information.
• Ability to communicate with senior executives and operational staff.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to improve fundraising performance and staff productivity via automation and AI.
• Design, prototype, build, test, and implement practical solutions using approved platforms.
• Personally participate in solution development and configuration.
• Translate challenges into workable DAR solutions adopted by teams.
• Maintain awareness of AI, automation, and digital engagement developments.
• Lead and develop a small team for innovation, process improvement, and implementation.
• Build capabilities of staff in automation and emerging technologies.
• Partner with fundraising leaders to enhance prospecting and donor engagement.
• Develop tools and workflows enabling frontline fundraisers to access information and manage portfolios.
• Ensure responsible use of tools in alignment with university policies.
