Job summary
Goddard House in Brookline, MA, seeks a Director of Development to lead a comprehensive fundraising program supporting its aging services and Creative Aging Connections initiative. The role oversees donor engagement, portfolio management, and strategy development while partnering with the President & CEO and Board of Trustees.

Qualifications
- 5–7+ years nonprofit fundraising experience with revenue goals
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred
- Proven track record cultivating major gifts from individuals, foundations, and corporations
- Experience managing a donor portfolio and fundraising pipeline
- Experience implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy in partnership with the CEO
- Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward individual donors, foundations, and corporate partners
- Lead major gift strategy and collaborate with the CEO and Board to secure significant gifts
- Expand donor base with new engagement opportunities across giving levels
- Represent Goddard House at donor events and in community outreach
- Oversee development operations, donor databases, gift tracking, and reporting
