Job summary

Hope Ignites Baltimore seeks a Director of Development to lead donor cultivation and stewardship across individuals, corporate partners, foundations, and communities. This role partners with the Executive Director, Board, and Development Committee to advance philanthropic revenue and strategic fundraising initiatives.

The role focuses on relationship-building, communications, prospect research, and CRM oversight to meet annual goals and expand funding sources for the organization’s mission in

Qualifications

• Demonstrated success securing and stewarding philanthropic support across donor types.
• Experience as primary relationship manager for donors and prospects.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a portfolio of donors and prospects through strategic relationship cultivation and stewardship.
• Develop donor briefings, materials, and follow-up communications with ED and Board.
• Represent the organization at events to raise visibility and relationships.
• Set annual fundraising goals and revenue projections with leadership.
• Grow funding sources including individual gifts, major gifts, corporate partnerships and foundations.
• Lead event fundraising strategy, sponsorships, and donor engagement.
• Collaborate with Board members to leverage networks for fundraising.
